തമ്മിൽ കണ്ടാൽ തല കൊയ്തിരുന്ന നാഗന്മാർ; അവരുടെ വേഴാമ്പൽ ഉത്സവം

അരുണാചൽ പ്രദേശ്, അസം, മണിപ്പുർ, മേഘാലയ, മിസോറം, നാഗാലാൻഡ്, ത്രിപുര സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളാണ് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ സപ്തസഹോദരിമാർ. ബിഹാറിലെ കിഷൻ ഗഞ്ച് മുതൽ പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാളിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ സിലിഗുഡി വരെ നീളുന്നു ഈ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ. ഇതിൽ നാഗാലാൻഡ് ചരിത്രപരമായും ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായും സവിശേഷമായ സംസ്ഥാനമാണ്.

നിരവധി ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ ഇന്നാട്ടിലെ ഗോത്രവർഗക്കാരുടേതായി ഉണ്ട്. തുലുനി, യംഷെ, നാസു, സെക്രൻയി എന്നിങ്ങനെ പല പേരുകളിൽ. എന്നാൽ ഉത്സവങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സവമെന്ന് പേരുകേട്ടത് ഹോൺ ബിൽ ഫെസ്റ്റിവലാണ്. നാഗാലാൻഡിന്റെ സ്വന്തം വേഴാമ്പൽ ഉത്സവം. ഡിസംബർ ഒന്നുമുതൽ പത്തുവരെയാണ് ഹോൺബിൽ ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ. ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ 2000-ലാണ് തുടങ്ങിയത്.
